Around the archeological ruins or going towards any cenote is very easy to come across iguanas, squirrels, raccoons and birds.

You can find a lot of reptile species in Tulum’s surroundings; lizards, gray and green iguanas, or snakes like the 4 noses viper. There are 15 registered endemic species in the Yucatan Peninsula: Symphimus mayas y Porthidium yucatanicum y craugastor yucatenses which can be only found at Quintana Roo center area and Yucatán southeast.
